A video animation for a GPS technology project

A 90-second “explainer video” to be used at a major world congress about transportation

Approach 
We had already designed a leaflet for this pan-European client project and our client’s instruction was to “turn the leaflet into a video”.

In order to deliver a good quality project at a low cost, we used our proven approach of finding and adapting a template from an online creative marketplace. We segmented the leaflet information into sequential sections to develop a video script with detailed animation descriptions for each section.

We then developed and refined the final video by closely following the script.

What we learned 
Unlike a leaflet or a website, a viewer cannot control the pace at which he/she consumes the information presented. A good rule to follow for this medium is often: Less is More. Concentrate on communicating one idea well, otherwise people will be confused or stop watching half way through.
