A sales brochure for a road transport consultancy

Project
With 25 years of industry experience, our client decided to make his expert knowledge available by creating his own consultancy business. With this brochure, we developed the base for an understated and serious corporate identity, which was then applied to other communications materials such as a PowerPoint presentation template and a website.

Approach 
We initially created a colour scheme based on darker base colours together with a choice of highlight colours. One we settled on the colour scheme, the guideline was to develop a clean and simple style. We applied this direction for the logo and a set of graphic elements to support the core content. Finally, we printed on a thick paper with a mat finish to make the brochure ‘feel’ as classy as it looks.

What we learned
Choosing colours a corporate identity can be tricky. There are considerations of colours associated with particular industries, general current trends and personal preferences. To use the colour scheme in different communications contexts, it is useful to have a set of colours that work with a dark background colour and a light background colour. In this case, the guidelines was to have a clean look, so we have only a single highlight colour, and the light blue works well as a contrast colour.
